The College Area Community Council (CACC) is the local community
council for the
College Area. The acts as a town forum for neighborhood
issues, community organizations, and regular interaction
directly with elected officials, city departments, Police, San
Diego State University (SDSU) and other community stakeholders.
The CACC is an all-volunteer community group and welcomes
community members to attend meetings, receive the newsletters,
serve on the board and committees, and provide feedback to the
board.
The College Area Community Planning Board (CACPB)
is the City of San Diego designated Planning Group for the College Area.
The CACPB is an all-volunteer advisory board that makes
recommendations to the San Diego Planning Commission and the San
Diego City Council. The CACPB
meets concurrently with the CACC.
The CACPB is
one of only two city-designated Planning Groups in the College Neighborhoods. |

Committees
The CACC has several committees which also meet each month to
discuss the main agenda items and topics of concern in the
College Area. The committees review each topic in great
detail and allows more opportunity for community input than the
full CACPB/CACC is able to afford because of time constraints.
Many community members attend specific committee meetings to
learn more detail about specific topics or projects which
interest them. To learn more about the CACPB/CACC committees,
visit the committee pages.
